Making her start in Adelaide, Australia, fresh after completing her Bachelor of Education in Drama & English, Joey landed her first major TV/presenting role as the host of Here’s Humphrey in 1977-1988. During this time period she also took over as host of the live 2 hour kids show The Channel Niners, which the went national in 1986 as the high rating C’mon Kids, catapulting Joey Moore as household name, locally, nationally and internationally for over a decade.
Now as one of Australia’s most sought after Voice Over Artists, Joey has lent her voice-talents to almost every major advertiser and corporate company in Australia, including Optus, Microsoft, Centrelink and Jetstar.
Joey’s diversity as a voice artist sets her apart from her industry counterparts, with proven success in character animation and impersonations. Recognised both nationally and internationally, Joey Moore’s animation character roles are The Shapies, Crocadoo (alongside Hugo Weaving), the DVD introduction to Moulin Rouge as well as the scratch track for Happy Feet 2. Amongst all of this, Joey has voiced dozens of characters for Burbank Animation across America & Europe and, more recently, has also sold her Julia Gillard comedy radio series, Julia G, to the Macquarie network.
Joey has many new exciting ventures on the go, amongst assisting and managing Gretel Killeen.
